ReportAsync
The Reportasync() function returns the output from a Quintessence report. The function provides the required parameter values as set up in the report configuration. Reportasync() calculates in the background (asynchronously from Excel). This is useful for larger reports, as Excel work can continue while the report computes. Once the data is ready it is displayed in Excel.
Syntax
Reportasync(Report, CalculationType, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3 … Arg16)

| Calculation Type | Possible Values:
“NoData” (Cleans up previously populated data while calculating and shows “Calculating…”) “CachedData” (Shows cached data while calculating, once the calculation has run, the new data will automatically be populated) “CachedDataCalc” (doesn’t clean up previously populated data, shows cached data while calculating and shows “Calculating…”) All of these options can be suffixed with “:Live” which forces the report to auto refresh when the underlying data changes |
